Ask Me

Q: Who is Hazem Salah?
A: I'm an ICF-certified relationship and wellness coach based in Egypt, serving clients across Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the wider Middle East. Since 2018, I've completed over 5,000 hours of direct coaching — with individuals, couples, and groups, both online and in person.
Q: What makes your background different from other relationship coaches?
A: Most of my credibility comes from real, direct hours — not just training certificates. I founded and ran an internal coaching program inside a major organization, with direct backing from senior executive leadership, to help employees work through personal and professional challenges. I've also appeared as a relationship expert on Radwa Elsherbiny's national TV program, and spoke at TEDx Nile University on rejection in relationships. Between the media exposure, the institutional experience, and the sheer volume of direct client hours, I've worked across a wide range of real situations — not a narrow, theoretical practice.
Q: Are you a licensed therapist or psychologist?
A: No — I'm an ICF-certified coach, not a licensed clinical therapist or psychologist. Coaching is forward-focused and practical, working with you on awareness, decisions, and patterns. If something in a session points to a need for licensed clinical or psychological care, I'll be direct with you about that and help you think through the right next step.
Q: Do you work with clients outside Egypt?
A: Yes. I regularly work with clients across Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East, primarily through online sessions, alongside in-person sessions for clients based in Egypt.
Q: What languages do you coach in?
A: Sessions are available in Arabic or English, depending on what's most comfortable for you.
Q: What's your coaching philosophy?
A: Everything I do is built on one principle: awareness before decision. I don't push clients toward a particular outcome — staying, leaving, marrying, or separating. My role is to help you see your situation clearly enough that you can make the right decision for yourself, with confidence instead of fear.
Q: Why "awareness-first" instead of giving direct advice?
A: Advice that isn't grounded in real self-awareness tends not to last — people either don't follow it, or follow it without understanding why, which often leads to the same patterns repeating later. When you reach clarity yourself, the decision actually holds, because it's genuinely yours.
Q: Will you tell me what you think I should do?
A: No — and this is intentional, not a limitation. If I told clients what to do, I'd be substituting my judgment for theirs in decisions that are deeply personal. Instead, I help surface what's actually true about the situation, and lay out paths clearly, so you can decide with real information rather than fear, pressure, or guesswork.
Q: How is this different from just talking to a friend or family member?
A: Friends and family usually have their own stake in the outcome — they may want you to stay, leave, or match their own expectations, even unconsciously. I have no stake in either outcome. My only goal is that you reach clarity, whatever that clarity turns out to be.
Q: Is your approach based on a specific certified methodology?
A: My coaching is grounded in ICF-certified coaching standards and refined through over 5,000 hours of direct client work. Where a session calls for structured behavioral observation beyond standard coaching (as in the optional Relationship Dynamics Lab), that specific component is led by a licensed specialist working alongside me.
Q: What can individual sessions help with?
A: Individual sessions are focused, one-on-one space to work through a specific challenge — building self-awareness, making a difficult relationship decision, healing after a breakup or divorce, or working through a recurring personal pattern that affects your relationships.
Q: What can couples sessions help with?
A: Couples sessions create a structured space for both partners to be heard — improving communication, surfacing unspoken expectations, making major decisions together, rebuilding trust after a crisis, or working through recurring conflict patterns as a team.
Q: Are sessions available online or only in person?
A: Both. Sessions are available fully online for clients anywhere, and in person for clients based in Egypt who prefer face-to-face sessions.
Q: How long is a typical session, and how many will I need?
A: Session length and frequency depend on what you're working through. Some clients need a handful of focused sessions; others prefer ongoing support over a longer period. This is discussed openly based on your specific situation — there's no fixed package pushed on every client.
Q: Is what I share in a session confidential?
A: Yes, completely. In couples sessions specifically, if there's ever a need to reference something raised individually, that's handled with discretion and never shared without appropriate care.
Q: Can I start with an individual session and bring my partner in later?
A: Yes — many clients start individually to gain personal clarity first, then decide together whether a joint session makes sense.
Q: I'm currently going through a breakup or divorce — is it too soon to start?
A: There's no fixed "right time." Some people want support immediately after a separation; others need a few weeks before they're ready to process it. Whenever you feel ready to start, the space is here.
Q: How do I book, and what happens in the first session?
A: You can book directly through the website. The first session is typically used to understand your situation and what you're hoping to work through, so we can agree on the right approach together — not assume it in advance.
Group Sessions — Q&A Content
Community workshops & organizational/corporate coaching programs
Q: What are group sessions, exactly? A: They're small-group coaching workshops built around focused relationship and communication topics — for individuals, engaged couples, or newly married couples working through similar questions together, rather than one-on-one.
Q: How is a group session different from an individual or couples session? A: Individual and couples sessions are private and tailored entirely to your specific situation. Group sessions are shared and topic-focused — you learn alongside others facing similar questions, which brings a different kind of value: realizing you're not alone in a pattern, and learning from other people's questions as much as your own.
Q: How many people are in a group? A: Typically 6–12 participants — small enough for real interaction and discussion, not a lecture.
Q: Is a group session confidential, since other people are in the room? A: What's shared by any participant stays within the group — a clear confidentiality agreement is set at the start of every session. Sharing personal details is always optional; some participants prefer to listen and reflect rather than speak up.
Q: What topics are covered in group workshops? A: Topics vary and may include communication skills for engaged or newly married couples, recognizing and breaking recurring conflict patterns, healing after a breakup or divorce, setting healthy boundaries, and emotional preparation for marriage.
Q: Are group sessions available online or in person? A: Both — depending on the specific workshop and what's scheduled.
Q: Is a single session enough, or do groups meet multiple times? A: It depends on the topic. Some workshops are a single focused session; others run as a short multi-session series. This is made clear before you join.
Q: Can couples join a group session together, or is it individuals only? A: Both formats exist — some workshops are designed for individuals, others specifically for couples working through similar early-stage challenges together.
Q: Do you offer group sessions for organizations or companies? A: Yes. Alongside public community workshops, I offer structured coaching programs for organizations — similar to an internal coaching program I founded and ran inside a major organization, with direct backing from senior executive leadership, to support employees through personal and professional challenges.
Q: What can a corporate program include? A: Options include structured internal coaching programs adapted to your organization, workshops on communication and conflict resolution for teams, confidential individual coaching access for employees, and sessions for leadership on managing personal stress that affects professional decisions.
Q: Why would a company invest in this kind of program? A: Employees carrying unresolved personal or relationship stress bring that weight into their work, affecting focus, decision-making, and retention. A structured, confidential coaching resource is a genuine investment in people, not just a one-off wellness event.
Q: Can our organization start with something smaller before committing to a full program? A: Yes — this mirrors exactly how the original internal program I founded was built: starting small, with clear leadership backing, before scaling. A pilot can be designed the same way for your organization.
Q: What languages are group and corporate sessions offered in? A: Sessions can be delivered in Arabic, English, or both, depending on the group's or organization's preference.
Q: How do I join a community workshop or start a conversation about a corporate program? A: Community workshops can be booked directly. For organizational programs, the first step is a conversation to understand your organization's needs before proposing an approach.
The Compatibility Audit
Q: What exactly is the Compatibility Audit?
A: It's a structured, pre-marital diagnostic program — for couples or individuals considering marriage, not for those already married. It combines a detailed private questionnaire, 120-Minute Escape-Room Behavioral Diagnostics, a live 90-minute session, and a written Clarity Report, designed to help you see your relationship clearly before making a decision about marriage, not after.
Q: Does the Audit tell us whether we should get married or not?
A: No — this is the core principle behind the entire program. The report presents both paths — proceeding with marriage or pausing/not proceeding — with equal weight and no personal recommendation from me. The decision is entirely yours.
Q: What's the difference between the Individual Audit and the Couple Audit?
A: The Individual Audit is for one person — useful if your partner isn't ready to participate yet, or if you want to gain clarity on your own decision first. The Couple Audit involves both partners completing separate, private questionnaires (neither sees the other's answers) followed by a joint session, giving a fuller, cross-referenced picture. The Couple Audit is priced higher, reflecting its more complete scope.
Q: Is the questionnaire information kept private between partners?
A: Yes. In the Couple Audit, each partner's questionnaire responses are private — your partner never sees your individual answers unless you both choose to share them.
Q: How long does the whole process take, from questionnaire to report?
A: The questionnaire is completed privately before the session. 120-Minute for Escape-Room Behavioral Diagnostics,The live session runs 90 minutes. The written Clarity Report is delivered by email as a PDF within an agreed timeframe after the session.
Q: What if my partner isn't willing to do this with me?
A: That's exactly what the Individual Audit is designed for — you can still gain real clarity on your own, even if your partner isn't ready to participate yet.
Q: Is there a lower-cost way to start before committing to the full Audit?
A: Yes — a short, free self-reflection assessment is available as a first step. It offers a general, non-personalized reflection and isn't a substitute for the full Audit, but it's a useful way to start if you're not sure yet whether you're ready for the complete program.
Q: What is the Relationship Dynamics Lab, and is it required?
A: It's an optional premium add-on available only with the Couple Audit — a short (60–75 minute), calm, structured session for behavioral observation, supervised by a licensed specialist, so you can see how you actually interact under mild real-world conditions, not just how you describe yourselves on paper. It's entirely optional, never mandatory.
Q: Do I need to have doubts about my relationship to do the Audit?
A: Not at all. Many couples pursue the Audit simply to enter marriage with full clarity and confidence, not because something is wrong — awareness is valuable whether or not doubt is present.
The Map Room — Q&A Content
Q: What is "The Map Room"?
A: It's an optional, immersive add-on to the Couple Compatibility Audit — a themed, interactive experience where you and your partner work through a series of cooperative activities together, observed calmly by a licensed specialist. Instead of just answering questions about your relationship, you get to see how you actually work together in the moment.
Q: Is this a real escape room, with a countdown and a "win or lose" ending?
A: Not in the traditional sense. There's no pass/fail outcome and nothing is scored. The format borrows the interactive, cooperative feel of an escape room, but it's designed as a discovery experience, not a competition or a test.
Q: Do we need any escape-room experience to do this?
A: No. This isn't about solving clever puzzles quickly — it's about how you communicate, decide, and recover together. No prior experience or particular skill is needed.
Q: How long does it take?
A: About two hours in total, including a short pre-brief, the four guided activities, and an immediate debrief afterward where we reflect on what came up.
Q: Is this stressful or upsetting?
A: It's designed to include mild, natural pressure — a light time limit, a small unexpected setback — but never manufactured conflict or real emotional distress. If anything feels like too much in the moment, you can pause or stop at any time.
Q: Who observes us during the activities?
A: A licensed specialist, working alongside Hazem, observes quietly and takes descriptive notes — not a score or a grade. You'll know exactly who's present before you begin; there's no hidden observation.
Q: Is this recorded?x
A: Only with your explicit, informed consent beforehand. You'll know exactly what's recorded, who has access to it, how long it's kept, and you can decline recording and still take part.
Q: Will you tell us how we "did" afterward?
A: No performance verdict is given. In the debrief, we reflect on patterns we noticed — communication style, how you handled a small setback, how you aligned on a decision — and connect them gently to real-life parallels, without labeling anything as good or bad.
Q: Does this replace the standard Compatibility Audit questionnaire and session?
A: No — it's an add-on, not a substitute. It sits alongside the standard Couple Audit process and adds another layer of insight, rather than replacing the core questionnaire and session.
Q: Is this only available with the Couple Audit?
A: Yes. Since it's built around observing two people interacting together, it's only offered as an add-on to the Couple Audit, not the Individual Audit.
Q: Is it mandatory as part of the Couple Audit?
A: No, it's entirely optional. Many couples complete a full, meaningful Audit without it.
Q: Where does this take place?
A: In a private, comfortable space — not a public venue — kept simple and controlled so the focus stays on the two of you, not on unfamiliar surroundings.
Q: How does this fit into our final report?
A: Any observations from the Map Room are woven into your Clarity Report by Hazem, in the same voice and format as the rest of the report — you won't receive a separate, disconnected "specialist" document.
Q: What if one of us is uncomfortable with a specific activity?
A: Every activity can be skipped or adjusted if it doesn't feel right for either of you. The goal is genuine insight, not pushing through discomfort for its own sake
